Not everyone can afford to rent out a professional sound studio but some of us still have a need to record high quality audio and usually can't shell out a huge amount to get it. It's also nice to be able to record audio from your home without having to invest money into a home audio studio or pay someone to do it for you - and what if you need to record audio while you're on the move or away from home? The solution? A portable soundproof box!

A portable soundproof box, like the one pictured above, is very easy to use, transport, and gives high quality results when you use it. It's also simple to set up and take down as well as being pretty inexpensive. It's definitely something I'd recommend for someone who has a need for professional audio but doesn't want to pay big bucks to make it happen. This soundproof box is so simple to put together that we've demonstrated it for you and taken some pictures to explain the process.

The first thing that you'll want to do is get ready with your container or box that you are going to use.

Now you'll want to get it open and insert the base into it to be sure that it wont collapse on you as you're recording your audio.

Once you've done that you'll be lining your box with soundproofing material - like the foam that we've used here. Cut it to be sure that it fits your box well.

Now go ahead and line your box with the soundproofing material.

Once your soundproofing is complete you'll need to cut a small hole in the side of your box to allow for any cable of equipment you might be using to pass through.

After you've done that your box is complete and you can begin using it to record your audio. Have fun!
