Casio Title Printer/Label Maker CW-L300
The Casio Printer is a printer/label maker that comes with it's own little keyboard ans is very handy for home or in-office use. It has a full QWERTY keyboard and there's also a USB port for connecting to a PC. This little printer is lightweight (just over five pounds) and small enough to keep in a home office or to be able to store at work but it does some great work. This little printer thermally images 200 dpi prints up to eight lines of text or a one color image directly onto a CD - no labels needed! You can also easily switch it over to a standard label maker for the sake of label-making for home organization or office purposes. This comes with many of the items you'll need to work it incuding a USB cable, cartridge adapter, AC adapter, software, sampe CD label tape, and disk ribbon and it can even run on AA batteries as well.

Beyond the technical aspects of the product there are a lot of great things about it. The CD's are printed quickly and efficiently and because they're done so fast there isn't any smudging or spreading of the ink. The labels are clean and neat and they look professionally done, all but replacing the felt tip and hand lettering method that many of us have had to rely on. There are some unfortunate downsides to it though. It doesn't run on Vista or XP and while you can download the drivers for it from the CASIO website they are only 32 bit. The cassetes also have a tendency to jam up and since they only last for thirty CD's each you will have to learn how to install them without jamming them becaue it will be a repeated action. Its best to keep this in a permenant place as it doesn't do well to moving around.

However for such a small price (between thirty and forty-five dollars depending on where you go) it give an extremely high level of value for it's cost. You also have to watch out for the ribbon jamming or tearing so be wary of things like that. Ultimately this is one of those products where you get what you pay for. Yes this is a great and inexpensive little machine but because it's so inexpensive there's bound to be some problems that will crop up when using it. So enjoy this if you decide to go ahead and buy it but don't be thinking that it will be a permenant addition to your office or home.
